Pineapple Point is comprised of six unique buildings, set on more than two acres of a very private and lush, clothing-optional, tropical paradise. Our luxury gay resort is one of the largest properties in this gay beach town that is Fort Lauderdale, Florida. "Steps must be taken to maintain our rural, family-based county," said Helen Koczur of Pasco Right to Life.Well known as the most exquisite gay men’s guesthouse and resort in North America since 1999, Pineapple Point is the choice for gay men from all over the world to escape and relax. Those supporters spoke of morality, of family values, of closing Pasco's borders to adult entertainment. The nudists far outnumbered the ordinance supporters Tuesday. And the more than 600 homes and millions of dollars worth of amenities provide plenty of tax revenue. It has, in fact, contributed to the growth of this county."Īs commissioners fully realize, nudist resorts draw more than 100,000 visitors to Pasco every year. "I'm just plain folks, just like the rest of you," said Carol Comeaux, a resident of Pasco's largest nudist resort, Paradise Lakes in Land O'Lakes. Tuesday marked the first time the nudist community spoke out publicly against the proposal. Zimmer's fellow commissioners expressed no reservations about the regulations until Tuesday, when they faced a roomful of nudist constituents worried about the county government trampling on their lifestyle. Shortly thereafter, commissioners received a petition bearing more than 6,000 signatures calling for a nudity ordinance, although the ordinance would have no bearing on that proposal because it wouldn't affect bookstores or existing businesses. That view drew support this summer after a plan for an adult bookstore and theater called the Pasco Pussycat surfaced in New Port Richey. But supporters of a nudity ordinance argue that it will help ensure that public nudity never becomes a problem. By most accounts, public nudity is rare in any form in Pasco. The issue arose nearly six months ago when a group called Concerned Women for America asked Commissioner Bonnie Zimmer to propose such an ordinance. "To put clothing on to go swimming in the water just is not logical," Paul Freischlog, a resident and employee of the City Retreat nudist camp in Shady Hills. Most of the nudists speaking to commissioners agreed with the goal of curtailing adult-oriented businesses in Pasco, but they worried the proposed ordinance went too far. She said the county might be better off restricting adult entertainment businesses by tightening land-use regulations. We hardly have time to get away but this is the best place to come and relax. We went for the day and met with friends and had the best time ever. "It appears to us to come uncomfortably close to affecting the continuing legality of the five nudist resorts," said Jack DePree, general manager of the Lake Como nudist resort in Land O'Lakes.Īlthough commissioners simply tabled the ordinance for further review, Commission Chairman Ann Hildebrand suggested the most prudent approach might be to scrap it altogether. tabooowner 1 11 Reviewed SeptemRelaxing We own ClubTaboo swing club and know how hard it is to run a facility.
